Today I had a Zoom meeting with Stuart McNaughton of Northumberland County Council who updated me on progress on the Ashington re-opening. Contracts for Outline Design work have now been let (indeed, I met some yellow-jacketed surveyors doing water course investigations when out for my “exercise” walk at Lysdown Farm near Newsham last week).
