Pacer Train Donated To Local School

Today I visited Dales School in Blyth who have some very exciting news. They are getting a Pacer train. It hadn’t arrived by the day of my visit, but the tracks are laid on sleepers and ballast and its arrival from Porterbrook is imminent. It will allow the children at this special school to practice train journeys, as well as using one coach for a library. Two of the students interviewed me asking a range of questions about whether I thought stations should be staffed and the support available to passengers with special needs. A very enjoyable morning.
