Northumberland Park station opens on 22nd February 2026, providing a connection to the Metro for passengers travelling to Gosforth, Whitley Bay and the southern side of the Coast Loop. The station also offers a bus connection to Silverlink, Cobalt and the Shields Ferry through service 19 – following representations from SENRUG the times of bus 19 will be changed from 22nd March to better connect with the trains.
