Just over 1 year after it first opened, and with 2 stations still outstanding, there was a small gathering at Blyth Bebside station today to commemorate 1 million passengers being carried on the Northumberland Line. An amazing accomplishment seeing as we still have 2 further stations to open (confirmed date for Northumberland Park 22nd Feb). Myself and committee members Andrew Carmichael and Trevor Watson attended. It also afforded a good chance to catch up with various people including Ian Lavery MP, Cllr Glen Sanderson, Leader of the Council, and various others from Northern, Nexus and Council staff.
