Public Meeting with Tweed Valley Railway Campaign

Despite the snow, and LNER once again issuing their rather too frequent “Do Not Travel” advice (there was also a broken rail at Berwick earlier in the day), we had an excellent public meeting tonight at Morpeth Town Hall with Gus Russell and Ian Aitchison from the Tweed Valley Railway Campaign (their Chair James Boulton had planned to join us but was obliged to pull out due to a family bereavement). Good to see a number of people had travelled from Berwick and places such as Wooler to be with us. Lively debate afterwards, encouraging to see the 2 groups working together so closely. And then to Morpeth station to meet my daughter who had travelled down from Aberdeen – her LNER train bang on time.
