Today I had a Teams call with Lee Pitcher MP for Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme, who was asking for my advice on how to improve local services on the Doncaster – Scunthorpe – Cleethorpes route (Hatfield & Stainthorth, Thorne South and Crowle). Obviously, I don’t know the area, but I do know a bit about campaigning to get decent services at smaller stations. It’s nice to be approached proactively from someone out of our area, who has heard about the work we have done and indeed are doing in Northumberland, and I hope my comments and suggestions were helpful to both Lee and his office team as they seeks to move this campaign forward, and of course hope he’ll be successful.
