Network Rail is apparently conducting the consultation on behalf of ORR (Office of Rail regulation). SENRUG supports this bid because First Group are saying each of their trains will call at Morpeth; if the bid is successful it would therefore be a significant step towards achieving SENRUG\u2019s campaign for an inter-city service every 2 hours in each direction at Morpeth.
