Sadly LUMO didn&#8217;t win the award they had been nominated for, in sustainable transport, but it was a very enjoyable dinner and an excellent chance to catch up with Matthew Lee, and be introduced to LUMO&#8217;s new MD Martijn Gilbert (also MD of Hull Trains) who has been in post for about 3 weeks. He is keen to engage with pro-rail groups such as SENRUG and I hope to have a further conversation with him soon. I also had a very brief catch-up with Graham Meiklejohn of TransPennine Express.
