Before the meeting itself, SENRUG Committee member Peter Strong and myself took Christian on a road tour of the Northumberland Line, also showing Christian some of our proposals for future extensions such as Ashington \u2013 Woodhorn \u2013 Newbiggin and Morpeth \u2013 Choppington \u2013 Bedlington. The tour also presented an opportunity to discuss the rather bizarre station designs particularly at Ashington, Bebside and Seaton Delaval which will leave the station entrances several hundred yards from the nearest bus stops on the adjacent main roads.
